In “Junior’s First Kill”, we follow the tumultuous life of a young soldier who navigates the throes of war, love, and the ghosts of his past. As he is sent to war immediately after training, he grapples with a haunting vision of an enemy soldier he had to eliminate, while his personal life unravels due to his girlfriend’s infidelity. Amidst his battle with PTSD, he clings onto the hope of rekindling his relationship.

Book 2 - "Peeping Tom"

The second narrative, “Peeping Tom”, delves into the dystopian world of Adam, a man who initially resists the siren call of technology and social media, but eventually falls into its hypnotizing trap. When his phone breaks, Adam is forced to upgrade and join a new rising social media platform, “Social Chat”. His life takes a surreal turn as he befriends a girl through the platform, leading him on a disorienting journey where the digital and physical worlds blur. He fights to save her from the manipulative grips of social media, facing the grim possibility that its influence may be too potent.

Book 3 - "Mailman Michael"

The final tale, “Mailman Michael”, introduces us to a mailman with a dark secret – he is a serial killer. However, the arrival of a new woman in his life triggers a moral battle within him. She ignites in him a desire to abandon his nefarious ways. But as Michael attempts to turn over a new leaf, he must determine whether this woman is genuinely offering him a shot at redemption or if she harbors her own hidden agenda.

The Journey

With a background spanning 17 years in the US Military, a man of Puerto Rican origin and a childhood that raised him all throughout the east coast of America. Rosario’s journey into the world of writing began during a deployment to Afghanistan. It was there, amidst the challenges and adventures, that Rosario’s passion for storytelling took root. In the midst of missions in Afghanistan, Rosario penned his first complete story, “Juniors First Kill” a thrilling tale that would later become the foundation for his renowned series, “The Sol of Shadows”. To his surprise and delight, the series quickly gained popularity throughout the Forward Operating Base, and Soldiers would ask Rosario for more of his nail bitting story’s to past there time in the harsh conditions of war.

Drawing inspiration from his own life experiences and his time living abroad in Japan, Germany, and Poland, as well as his multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Rosario weaves intricate fantasy thrillers and sci-fi thrillers. His writing style is as dynamic as the stories he tells, with each thriller taking on a unique approach, filled with unexpected twists and mind-bending endings that leave readers yearning for more.

Q: WHAT WERE SOME OF YOUR MOTIVATIONS FOR WRITING?

I write because the stories in my head refuse to stay there. I’m driven by a passion to breathe life into characters, to explore the depths of human emotion, and to craft worlds that transport readers to another time and place. My motivation comes from a desire to connect with others through the power of words, to leave a lasting impact on hearts and minds, and to inspire others to dream big. Ultimately, writing is my way of leaving a piece of myself in the world, and I hope that it finds a home in the hearts of my readers.

Q: TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT WRITING?

Currently, I’m pouring my heart and soul into the sequel to this two-part series The Sol of shadows that explores the complexities of the human experience. In VOL one, The first story delves into the raw and realistic struggles of a soldier grappling with PTSD after serving in Afghanistan. Drawing from personal experiences and conversations with veterans, I aim to shed light on the often-hidden battles that our heroes face upon returning home. The second tale takes you on a thought-provoking, futuristic journey through the lens of social media, exposing the underside of our digital lives and the true cost of connection. And the third story is a gripping exploration of addiction, born from the ashes of childhood trauma. Through these interconnected stories, I hope to create a universe that resonates with readers and sparks empathy, understanding, and ultimately, hope.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE GOAL AS A WRITER?

My number one goal as a writer is to craft stories that resonate with readers on a deep emotional level, leaving a lasting impact long after they finish reading. I strive to create authentic characters, worlds, and experiences that inspire empathy, spark meaningful conversations, and challenge perspectives. Above all, I aim to use my words to connect with others in a way that transcends the page, fostering a sense of understanding and community that can change lives.

Q: WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WANT EVERYONE TO GET OUT OF READING YOUR BOOK THE SOL OF SHADOWS?

One thing I hope readers take away from ‘The Sol of Shadows’ is a sense of unease and discomfort. I want this book to be a mirror held up to our collective psyche, reflecting back the darker aspects of our technology-obsessed culture. Through this story, I aim to spark a necessary conversation about the consequences of our actions and the importance of holding onto our humanity in a rapidly changing world. At the same time, I hope readers see themselves in the characters’ struggles and triumphs, and are inspired to confront their own shadows with courage and compassion. I hope the book leaves a lasting impact, fostering empathy, understanding, and a renewed sense of connection in a world where we’re increasingly confused and disconnected.
